Welcome to the Registration for the Dublin High School Swim & Dive Team!

Complete before the start of the 2025 swim and dive season on February 10th.

Team Expectations

Junior Varsity Expectations

  • All Junior Varsity athletes must attend 100% of practices throughout the course of the season.
  • If a junior varsity athlete does not meet these expectations they will be withheld from swim meet(s) and potentially removed from the team.
  • Junior varsity swimmers who miss 2 or more meets may be withheld from EBALs

Varsity Expectations

  • All Varsity athletes must attend 100% of practices and swim meets throughout the course of the season.
  • If a varsity athlete does not meet these expectations they may be moved to junior varsity and compete with the junior varsity until they can demonstrate consistency in their daily participation. If participation does not improve they will be withheld from meets and potentially removed from the team.
  • Varsity swimmers may be withheld from EBALs if they miss swim meet
  • Varsity swimmers who do not attend EBALs cannot attend NCS

Club Swimmer Expectations

  • Mandatory meetings at lunch as scheduled by the coaches.
  • If a club swimmer does not attend these weekly meetings they may be withheld from a meet or, if on varsity, moved to junior varsity.

Regardless of level, ALL SWIMMERS MUST ATTEND EBAL SWIM CHAMPIONSHIPS (EBALS). If a swimmer does NOT attend EBALS the swimmer may no longer be considered a member of the Dublin High School Swim Team or may not receive their varsity patches or may not receive their swim certificates. Non-attendance consequences will be up to the coaches.

Academic Expectations

Academic Expectations

As outlined by the Dublin High School Athletic Department; which are as follows:

  • Maintain at least a 2.0 GPA
  • Must not have more than 1 “F” in any of their classes at the end of the grading period

Club Swimmer Expectation

ONLY RESPOND IF YOU PLAN ON PRACTICING WITH YOUR YEAR-ROUND CLUB TEAM.

Mandatory meetings on our Season Schedule.

If a club swimmer does not attend these weekly meetings they may be withheld from a meet or, if on varsity, moved to junior varsity. If weekly attendance does not improve the club swimmer may be removed from the team.

Coaches may contact your USA Swim year-round club coaches to ensure that you attend their club practice. If we do not hear a positive response you may be withheld from swim meets. 

All club swimmers need to complete the Time Report Form.

Athletic Clearance Packet

In order to participate on the Dublin High School Swim and Dive team, an athlete's Athletic Clearance packet has to be completed and turned into Student Activities with a current hardcopy physical. If a previous sport has been played, within the school year, the Athletic Clearance packet has to be transferred from that sport to Swim & Dive. You can find information about Athletic Clearance under the "DHS Athletics" tab on the website. Your Athletic Clearance needs to be completed by Friday, February 7nd and cleared before the first day of practice on Monday, February 10th.

In order to fulfill the requirements and obtain the coaches' approval, swimmers must meet the expectations as set forth by swim team.

Student Driver Clearance

DHS swimmers and families acknowledge that only swimmers that have a signed parent permission form are allowed to drive themself and their sibling(s). This permission form MUST be turned in to Coach Rachel prior to the start of the season on February 10th. 

Students are NEVER allowed to transport other students other than siblings. Regardless of competitions locally or further away that require the use of freeways students are NEVER Allowed to transport other students than sibling(s). On the back of this form list sibling(s) that the student may transport.

Donation

Do not forget to make your donation after the completion of this registration. Even though it will give you a $0.00 due at the end of this registration and send a $0.00 due in a confirmation email we cannot have a swim and dive team without donations from the participating families. You can find the donation information under the "DHS Athletics" tab on the website.

Liability Waiver

I recognize that the use of the The Wave, surrounding premises, and all related equipment and/or property, have known and unknown risks of injury.

I certify that I am in good health and have no physical or other impediment which would endanger me while using the Wave. I further certify that I will not be under the influence of alcohol or any substance which would impair my ability to undertake normal activities in the Wave.

I fully recognize that there MAY NOT LIFEGUARD ON DUTY AT ANY TIME and that children must be accompanied by an adult at all times while in the Wave. In consideration of Dublin High School permitting me to use the Wave, hereby expressly assume all risks in using the Wave and surrounding premises and voluntarily indemnify, release from liability, agree to defend and hold harmless Dublin High and its employees for any accident, injury, illness, death, loss, theft, damage to personal property, or other consequences suffered by me or my child arising or resulting directly or indirectly from my child’s use of the Wave , including but not limited to, claims arising from or related to the Wave negligence and/or products liability, including strict products liability, except that which is the result of gross negligence and/ or misconduct.

In the event that I or my child is injured, I agree to assume any financial obligation, either through my health insurance, or through some other means, for any medical costs that I or my child incurs. Dublin High assumes no responsibility for any medical expenses, injury, or damage suffered by me or my child in connection with my or my child’s use of the Wave.

I am aware of the potential dangers incidental to the use of the Wave and Surrounding Premises, that this is a release of liability, a waiver of my legal right to collect damages in the event of injury, death or property damage, and a contract between Dublin High and me, and I sign it of my own free will.

I have read, fully understand and accept this Release, Waiver of Liability and Assumption of Risk for the use of the Wave and Surrounding Premises.
