Rachel Knowles Dublin Swim Head Coach

Hi swimmers! I grew up in the Bay Area and competed in local, regional, and international swim competitions. I represented both Pleasanton Seahawks and Team USA in World Cup Events in Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai, and Israel. Closer to home, I was also the Varsity Captain of Amador Valley High School’s Swim team for three years where I rallied behind both new and experienced athletes at interschool, EBAL, and NCS meets.

Beyond building a competitive swim program at Dublin High, my commitment to the sport has now evolved to encourage more participation and spread the love of swimming to other high school athletes. I look forward to bringing this same passion to Dublin High School. Go Gaels!

Carleigh Kmetz Dublin Assistant Swim Coach

Hi DHS swimmers, my name is Carleigh Kmetz and I am excited to be an Assistant Swim Coach for the 2025 swim season. I currently live in Pleasanton and have lived in the East Bay area since 2017 (was previously here in 1998 – 2004).

I love the water! Swimming has been a big part of my family as my grandma was a swim instructor and made the Olympic trials. Naturally when moving to California from Pennsylvania when I was 6, I joined a swim team and swam competitively from elementary school through high school. My stroke of choice was butterfly.

I am excited to coach swimming because I think it is a very important skill to have. I am an outgoing and friendly person. As your Assistant Coach, I will encourage you to improve your swimming abilities to help reach your personal goals, paying attention to technique first and then speed and endurance. Additionally, my focus will be on community engagement – get ready for team building activities and bonding throughout the season.

I can't wait to see you at the pool!
